Laundry, laundry, laundry...

As a Trinity Athlete, one may find it hard to find time to do laundry between class, practice and studying, so here are a few tips or times that will hopefully be as helpful to you as it was for me. A couple items that you may need that will help you are a dirty clothes basket, laundry bag, detergent, and of course money on your Tiger Card.

Most practices or games take place pretty much all week (Monday-Saturday), so this leaves Sunday open. Take advantage of this day, not for personal enjoyment like going out or being lazy, but do things that need to be done like laundry, cleaning, homework, etc. I recommend trying to save the amount of clothes you use through-out the day so you are able to fit all of your dirty clothes into one load when laundry day comes. Try to do laundry at least once a week, trust me your roommate will be very thankful!

The beautiful dryers in Calvert!
Washing and drying your clothes will take around 2 hours to completely finish and it only cost 1 dollar per machine (so $2 total). The washer will take about 30 minutes to finish so in the mean time I suggest doing some light reading that your professor has assigned you or something that would fit in that time period. Also! Do not put to much detergent in, it will be messy if you do! After the washer is done just throw them in the dryer, swipe your card and press start. The dryer says it will take 60 minutes to finish the cycle but give it an extra 5 at the end (it tends to run a little long). During this time you may do a little more strenuous homework or something of the sort. After the dryer is done take your now fresh clean clothes out and you can fold them there or take them back to your dorm to fold them.

Once all is done all it took was really only 30 minutes out of your off day from sports so overall not to bad! I hope this has helped all those Trinity Athletes out there who were having trouble finding time to do laundry! I know it helped me.
